How cool would it be to be able to power your electric bike and power tools with the same interchangeable rechargeable batteries? Thanks to the cooperation of Worx and Aventon, this is now possible. Aventon is a leader in electric bike manufacturing. Worx makes a variety of power tools and garden equipment that are powered by  PowerShare batteries. With the introduction of the Aventon 40V e-Bike Powered by PowerShare, you get an electric bike that uses dual 20v PowerShare batteries to achieve a total of 40v. Typical riding conditions will achieve a range of up to 26 miles. This range can even be extended if you carry an extra PowerShare battery or 2 along for the ride.

With both power assist and throttle options, this would qualify as a type 2 electric bike in the United States. It comes equipped with a 350w motor.  The power assist mode is adjustable to 5 different levels, depending on how much assistance you want and the speed you want, up to 20 mph.  A bright handlebar mounted LCD screen displays the current battery charge, speed and pedal assist level as well as the odometer reading. The brakes are low maintenance mechanical disk brakes. The chain and cassette are 7 speeds.

The bike comes with additional accessories: 2 front/rear reflectors and holder, spare derailleur hanger, 2 keys, hex key, axle and cap, 2 20v 8.0Ah PowerShare batteries, and PowerShare dual charger. It comes in only one size, but the step-through design makes mounting easier.

• Weight limit is only 220 lbs, which is lighter than most e-bikes

Overall:

If you are a very large or very small person or a child, this bike might not work for you. But if you are average or slightly above or below average, this would be a versatile addition to your exercise or commute routine. If you already have power tools or garden tools that are powered by Worx PowerShare batteries, this choice is very compelling.
